I am from Manchester, UK. I am TESOL qualified and I have taught English at all levels in Indonesia, Italy, Spain and the UK. This has included teaching Business English to professionals. I enjoy travelling, learning langauges and exploring different cultures. All this makes teaching English the perfect job for me!

Gabriel Sanchez

I was born in Mexico but moved to the United States when I was 5 years old and am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. I have also studied French for approximately 6 years. My primary interests are in psychology and computer science, and I have worked as an academic researcher for many years in the fields of cognitive science, vision science, and Human-Computer Interaction. I have also worked as an online English tutor and have enjoyed this experience tremendously.

I have obtained a wide range of teaching experiences, from individual tutoring to large university classes. From these experiences, I have learned that teaching involves connecting with my students and understanding how they see the world. This process allows for many different ways of learning, just as there are many different kinds of students. Thus, teaching is a way of opening someone’s mind to another world.

As the old Czech proverb says, to learn another language is to gain another soul.

Alvin Plummer

I was born in Toronto, Canada, and I have lived most of my life in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). My earlier career was focused on the computing field, especially system administration. However, for the last several years I have been teaching English: initially in Mainland China, and later in Peru and Indonesia. While my earlier education was as a System Analyst, I am currently working on my B.A. in English. After the completion of my degree, I expect to return to Asia, with a broader career path and a greater range of opportunities! Until then, I teach English online: it keeps my skills sharp, it’s my profession in life, and I enjoy helping people speak better English!
